In other news, I've decided that the recipes I'm going to make this year have to include:
- trifle
- pie floaters
- custard
- self-saucing chocolate pudding
- apple pie

Pie floaters will be fun - if somewhat random. They're meat pies in bowls of mushy pea soup. Actually yummier than it sounds.

I do trifle every year for Christmas, but it's just a bit too much work for me to want to do it more often than that... no matter how much I love it.

But pie floaters... oh, man. I *love* those. And now I want one. Unfortunately, around here if we want a pie floater we *have* to make them ourselves. *grumble*grumble*
