I can't quite manage Michelle Trachtenburg dying.

I know she's not Dawn, but she sort of is Dawn. As well as being so many other characters I love – which, I mainly love them because there is Michelle, still being Michelle, and still sort of being Dawn even though she's not Dawn anymore.

Life can be so unpredictable. And so brief.

She is very much Dawn. And I know she was 39 and an adult, but she'll always be Dawn to me, so it felt like an unpleasant surprise to read that this mroning.

I honestly thought it was a fake news report when I saw it this morning. She was much too young.

She was only a year older than me, and even before I fell in love with BtVS, she was Harriet the Spy. It's so hard to wrap my mind around. I hope she knew that, despite all the haters, many of us loved Dawn and thought she did a magnificent job with the role.
