(do I *have* to go to work today?)
Feb. 9th, 2011 06:23 amMy thoughts exactly.
In other news, I've decided that the recipes I'm going to make this year have to include:
- trifle
- pie floaters
- custard
- self-saucing chocolate pudding
- apple pie
Pie floaters will be fun - if somewhat random. They're meat pies in bowls of mushy pea soup. Actually yummier than it sounds.

Date: 2011-02-09 03:31 am (UTC)-Custard must be made from scratch. No custard powder.
- Likewise, apple pie needs to be all handmade. No tinned cooked apples, no frozen sheets of pastry...
:-D
(I have a nice easy shortcrust recipe if you're looking for one! I used to make my pies with frozen stuff, but it always dries out in the freezer after a while, and handmade is so easy, much more malleable, and tastes so much nicer.)
Have fun! Post photos when you have succeeded in your goals!
