You know that thing where someone's talking about something you agree with entirely... except for the one bit in there that makes you want to yell at them until they realise how wrong they are?

Like when you're talking about TV Show, and they say "Yes, definitely, the best characters on TV Show were Awesome Character, Really Really Fun Guy, and Adorable Person. And that's not to mention the absolute brilliance of Worst Character On The Whole Show who is clearly the best character of all time."
...and you sit there nodding, yep, absolutely, totally, completely agree with you... WHAT? You... what? How on earth can you like that guy? And how can you like him and yet still have almost the same list of favourite characters as me?

That's been happening to me a lot, this week. I'll agree with their whole post - except the bit where they tear my favourite book to shreds. I'll love everything they say - except for this one bit where they say goldfish are better than cats, which is CLEARLY MAD. I'll think they have written the most perfect post of all time - except the paragraph where they turn out to like Luke Skywalker better than Han Solo. (Who does that???)

It's rather confusing.

Me! I had an epic crush on Luke as a child. He was the hero! He had a lightsaber! And really didn't get the whole Han thing. Smuggling=bad. Now I realise how whiny Luke was and appreciate the awesomeness of Han. But there is still a part of me that does still prefer Luke.

*prepares to be defriended* ;D

But, yes. I know exactly what you mean. So confusing.

I remember watching 'Peter Pan' (the Disney animated film) and being HORRIFIED that my aunt's favourite character was Captain Hook. It was, like, treason. Clearly, Peter was the best. No question.

As an adult, I want to give the arrognat little jerk a good kick in the pants.

But Captain Hook is MARVELLOUS.

He was the hero!

You're not alone. Then I grew up, got cynical and developed hormones and... yeah. Han all the way. But when you're six, this is not so evident.
