more photos!
Jun. 13th, 2011 06:58 amYes, I know I'm late again...
Day 155:

This is a silent auction. In a very LOUD location.
(We were at a trivia night. I was taking photos on my phone because I'd forgotten my camera - hence the not-so-interesting nature of the picture. Sidenote: isn't it weird that these days I can lose my camera, shrug, and use my backup camera?)
Day 156:

We've been having a series of sermons at church which...
Actually, I don't remember why we did this. But I'm sure it was wonderfully relevant to the week's topic at the time.
What you can see here is a huge big wall of boxes, with our names written on the sides. It signifies... something.
Day 157:

Most of the world is under the impression that Elf is not a cuddly cat. He is, but not in the traditional way.
He doesn't like sitting on people's laps. Instead, he'll come over and sit next to me, and proceed to watch me intently and purr. (If I start watching him intently, I'll get an extra loud purr in reward.)
Day 158:

Smudge, on the other hand, calmly settles himself on his own chair, and thinks smugly about being King Of Everything...
Day 159:

My new desk! (Note the spaceships.)
As it turns out, next week I'm going to move to a desk ten feet away and have to set everything up again.
Day 160:

Here's sister #1, with Alex, Josh, and Michael.
They are such a lovely family. :)
Day 161:

There was a story I read once, where this con-man was challenged to steal someone's oxen without him realising that they'd been stolen. So he cut off their horns and tails, buried them in a field (just poking out), and convinced the man that his oxen had sunk beneath the surface. The farmer promptly set about trying to dig them up, and the con-man strolled off with two hornless oxen...
Every time I see this boat roof, I think of that story.
