Photobucket to the rescue! It seems to allow permanent hotlinking - so I'll actually be able to keep my photos here for longer than a day! Hurrah!

This week's batch are mainly pets and miscellaneous items in my kitchen...

Day 15:

Danny the dog.

He's a Shetland sheepdog - the third one Mum's had. We started out with Carly, then Penny, and now Danny. It's taken me quite a while to remember that he's a boy and stop calling him "she". (In our family, cats are boys and dogs are definitely girls. It's a whole thing.)

Day 16:

Sunset as seen from outside my house.

I was really wanting to get a photo without powerlines in the way - but in retrospect I rather like it.

Day 17:

This is from The Astor, as mentioned previously.

The photo was taken in the lobby while waiting for tickets, looking up towards the balcony overhead.

Day 18:

Proof that I occasionally wash the dishes!

Try not to notice the water bottles, string, cranberry juice, and so forth on the window sill. They're pretty much a permanent (and messy) feature of my kitchen.

Day 19:

Smudge the kitten big fluffy cat.

I took this picture very late at night, having suddenly remembered I still needed to take one...

Day 20:

More of my kitchen.

I actually try to keep things neatly put away in cupboards - and quite often succeed. But the items in this picture are permanently out on the bench, or sometimes on the stove.

This is because my housemate and I are both into hot caffeiney drinks, so she has a coffee pot (the small one), and we both have our own kettles. Mine is the silvery one that goes on the stove, and hers is the red electric one. Both whistle.

The reason we have both of them out is because my housemate prefers the whizzy electric one (which, in fairness, is way faster) - but the whizzy electric one HATES MY GUTS. It regularly turns itself off the moment I turn it on, or just refuses to turn off at all and keeps boiling away until the whole kitchen is drenched in steam.

Day 21:

This is not my front garden: it's my next door neighbour's front garden. Isn't it pretty?

I justify the shortcomings in my own front garden by the fact that I have to do it by myself. She has professional gardeners.

A very fluffy kitty!

Of course a profesionally maintained garden is going to look great. But I prefer the messiness of a garden that is done by oneself.

The sunset pic is lovely - you're right about the power line, it adds a focus.

Kitchens never have enough space. Especially for things that need to be on the side. (Though I'm scared that you have problems with an electric kettle. It's almost the only gadget that never causes me trouble. Will it turn on me too?)

Why do you keep your juice on the windowsill?
