Voyager’s writers: Except we’ll still use the holodeck and the replicators. They’re fun.
Farscape’s writers: …um. Why don’t we have really bad supply problems? So they have to eat the same crummy food over and over. And keep running out of that.

Voyager’s writers: And they’ll have ethical dilemmas.
Farscape’s writers: Lots of ethical dilemmas.

Voyager’s writers: Tons!
Farscape’s writers: Heaps!

Voyager’s writers: …but of course they’ll always do the right thing in the end.
Farscape’s writers: What?

Voyager’s writers: Our crew are, after all, heroes. And heroes always do the right thing.
Farscape’s writers: Frell that.

Voyager’s writers: That’s why they’re the main characters! They’re noble and good!
Farscape’s writers: …or you could have characters that are interesting. And complex. And selfish! And argumentative! And fun! And angsty! And fart helium!

Voyager’s writers: What? Eww.
Farscape’s writers: …well, okay. We’ll only have him fart helium every second episode.

Voyager’s writers: And they’ll all have epic space adventures!
Farscape’s writers: And they’ll all have epic space adventures! (And to make up for the lack of farting, we’ll have an episode centered around exploding pee.)

Voyager’s writers: It will be the best show ever! :D

One could probably write meta on how physical almost everything on Farscape is. Blood, sweat, tears and every other possible bodily discharge, fistfights, sex, cannibalism, heat delirium, armor-piercing shrieks... it's even got living ships that give birth, go through puberty, age and die. For a space opera, it's almost violently organic. Things don't happen at a distance.
