Half an hour in direct sunshine (the rest of the day under portable shade in the form of a parasol) and my arms are bright red.
The Aussie sun is not kind.
Went along the Eastlink freeway yesterday, for the second time since it opened. Wasn't driving, so I had the chance to look at the weird, weird scenery.
Like this:

For some reason, the designers seem to have approached this construction less as a freeway and more as a piece of very long modern art. They have random things strewn all over the sides of the road, fluorescent green bridges over the top, and a... fake hotel?

(Seriously - why?)
Nothing yet to rival the world's biggest phallic symbol, out on the Tullamarine:

...but there's always time. And so much more empty freeway to experiment with.
