So... yay. It turns out I have breast cancer.

Quite an early stage of breast cancer. And it hasn't spread or anything yet. But... yeah. That new suspicious-feeling lump in my breast is in fact cancerous, and I'm going to have to have it removed. Assuming our hospitals have enough space during the current Covid outbreak.


(Stress over "weird unidentifiable lump" has meant I've ignored my flist here for the last month. Trying to catch up now, but I'm sorry if I miss anything important.)

Boo for the stress, yay for at least finding it early. If the operation's the same as the one I got for my non-cancerous lump, I got the impression it was pretty straightforward as operations go, so hopefully the hospital can squeeze it in quickly.

Here's hoping that firstly, you're able to get an elective surgery slot; secondly, that the surgery goes well and with minimal complications; thirdly, that you don't need any chemotherapy afterwards; and finally, that if you do need chemotherapy, you're able to get through it with minimal miseries.

You're allowed to be distracted from things online by serious illness, by the way. I doubt anyone is going to resent you taking time out from your online life to deal with your own health.

Yowie. Sorry not to reply earlier, I have also been off DW for less serious reasons, and am catching up. Glad that it seems to have been caught early, and I hope that they can pull it out without much extra hassle.
