How it works: reply with "Oh! Shiny" and I'll choose three of your icons. Tell me about them: where they came from, what they mean to you, and/or when you deploy them. Drop a link here to your post in your own journal. Spread it around.
rydra_wong asked me about:

[Sikozu from Farscape]
As a rule, my BtVS icons tend to be humorous, while my Farscape icons are... not. I like the Farscape ladies looking quintessentially like them (still searching for good Zhaan/Jool/Noranti icons...), and this one, for me, looked very much the way I think of Sikozu being: alert, intelligent, and about to con someone and take them for all they're worth.
My Farscape icons are usually used for
a) conversations about Farscape and/or spacey things
b) discussions where I'm deliberately trying not to have my icon read-into too much (since my BtVS ones tend to be more obviously related to what I'm saying)
Of my Farscape icons, I have
- Aeryn looking inspired
- Chiana tilting her head at something odd
- Aeryn looking silly
- Aeryn's "working mother" icons
- Sikozu looking intelligent (this one)
I pick Sikozu if none of the others are relevant.

[Aang and Zuko, back to back, about to fight together]
A friendship icon! I use this if I'm trying to be friendly (specifically friendly, not just polite) to the person I'm talking to.
The reason I love this actually has a lot to do with the fact that I'm a Spuffy shipper. *grins* Someone commented once that a Buffy/Angel romantic fanart would have them gazing into each other's eyes, while a Buffy/Spike romantic fanart would have them back to back, about to take on an epic monster together. Which... I love. I've always been a big fan of good/evil friendships and romances, whereby two people who were on opposite sides end up teaming up together (particularly if they stay on opposite sides throughout their teaming-up, which, woe, does not apply to Buffy/Spike or Aang and Zuko).

[Rapunzel kissing Eugene]
This is my favourite kiss in the entire Disney canon. (See also: Willow kissing Oz on BtVS.) I love how clumsy and enthusiastic she is, and how surprised he looks.
This would probably be my favourite movie in the entire Disney canon, actually, if it weren't for the completely nutty and wonderful chaos that are Robin Hood and The Emperor's New Groove.

The first tends to get pulled out on anything that smacks of dark or edgy, which explains why I haven't been using it much the last few years. The second is mainly for writing-related posts, but it was never more appropriate than when I used it for Xander/Buffybot. And the third usually goes on fic or other posts that mention dom/sub themes, spanking and that sort of rubbish.
EDIT: Also, I'm most proud of the second, because it's not often I'm that clever *and* that funny.
