work and stuff

Life is about to drastically change.
This week, the husband will be in Japan - so the kidlet and I will be home by ourselves. The next week, I will start working three days a week, while the husband drops down to three days too.
I am simultaneously excited and terrified. What if my son doesn't remember me after a whole nine hours apart? What if I forget how to read and totally fail at my job? What if aliens land?
...hopefully it will all be fine.

Apparently wondered where I was a few times, but no wailing or anything. Having a familiar daddy there is very helpful. (Not sure how, say, childcare would be... :-/ )
And when her daddy first started going back to work she would trot around looking for him, but soon adjusted without a peep, and it makes homecoming all the more exciting. And weekends are suddenly big family days. :-)
You'll probably be rusty with thinking and comprehension, and communicating with adults, but will find your groove in no time.
Aliens won't land. At least, not for a few weeks, when the new X Files might bring us some. Woo! :-D
