Disney opinions
Sep. 4th, 2019 09:45 amI've been reading a lot of discussions about Frozen and Tangled, and which one is better (Tangled. Tangled is better.), and I found one thing interesting.
Everyone keeps saying "Tangled has a far better plot, and much better animation. The only reason people keep preferring Frozen is because Frozen's music is so much better."
Am I seriously the only one who thinks Tangled's music is far better than Frozen's?
Because, really – Tangled has "Mother Knows Best" and "I Have A Dream" - not to mention the gorgeous instrumental numbers. Whereas Frozen's music was okay individually, but the songs are very mismatched and don't fit well together at all.
Plus, the having-a-conversation-while-kinda-singing thing they do (for instance, when Anna and Elsa are talking in the ice palace) really doesn't work. It's not leading into a song, and it's not in a similar style to the songs, or anything. It's just... there.
Seriously, is it just me? I could have sworn the Tangled music was way better.
"Let It Go" is admittedly quite good. My problem with that one is purely personal: I dislike the way Idina Menzel's voice sounds on high notes, so whenever the song starts getting exciting I start wincing. ...but that's just me.
