Public Service Announcement
Oct. 19th, 2012 05:48 pmOkay. I have seen this in one too many places recently.

Attention Men!
1) Women have a urethra, and a vagina. One is for peeing, the other is for making babies and having sexy fun times. They are not the same thing.
(While one could potentially include the urethra in one's sexy fun times, I can't imagine it being that comfortable.)
2) The vagina is not the vulva. They are different.
3) The clitoris is not internal.
This concludes our lesson for today.

Date: 2012-10-19 12:43 pm (UTC)I know this from practical experience of teaching them self-catheterisation, where I start with the basic anatomy, and am quite often met with amazement - or a sudden realisation of how women who use tampons can pee with them in situ.
I have also met 4 women who did not have a completely separate vagina and urethra, but their urethra actually opened into the top of the vagina beside the cervix... but that is of well over 100 women that I have taught the technique to!
