My Favourite Things Meme

Herein is a discussion of my favourite things of mine...
My favourite post:
A piece of meta from - wow - four years ago, now: Making The Talking Sound Like Talking.
I had only been writing fic for a few months, but was already convinced I knew how to write better dialogue than anyone ever. And I still agree with most of the advice I gave!
Runner Up: Dawn Summers / Andrew Wells: their-love-is-so-random - a shipping manifesto.
My favourite comments section:
From a poll on the name of Incy-Wincy Spider.
It was epic. There were flame wars and everything. (Apparently the way to get my flist really fired up is to ask them about cross-continental vocabulary.)
Runner Up: a discussion on what to call cabinets/cupboards/closets (yet another vocabulary fight).
My favourite vid:
This would be Hero: a Love Letter. No question.
I put it together (from idea to posting) in under 24 hours, as a present for
angearia. And despite the short timeframe, it turned out exactly how I wanted it.
It's basically a discussion of all the many ways in which Buffy is an incredible person. I'm very proud of some of the bits I got in there - like her and Angel kissing, fading into the look on her face when she shows up to kill him. And a whole sequence of her becoming the Slayer.
Runner Up: The Dance, which goes through the whole show, start to finish.
My favourite fic:
This was incredibly hard to choose, but in the end I went with An Alphabet of Fred, which is all about Illyria.
I love thinking about Illyria and Fred, and how much they each affect each other. (I've written meta, and everything!) While I've explored it in numerous fics, this was definitely the one I thought worked the best.
Runners Up: Final Instructions, in which Giles writes a letter from beyond the grave; Illusion, in which Spike is crazy; and Umbrellas and Other Insecurities, in which Willow is nervous about her relationship with Kennedy.
My favourite icon:

Because I thought of it, and
ruuger made it so pretty.
(Not that I am a working mother - but I wanted something similar to the "fights like a girl" icons that float around my flist, and having a baby in one hand and a gun in the other was just so Aeryn.)
