Summer is here, although it doesn't feel like it. The weather has been rather cold this week.

Still, it's December 1st, so I spent this evening putting up my tree, and deciding which nativity set to use...



I'm now snuggled up on my couch, watching Avatar, and feeling Christmassy.

I still need to put up my pretty lights! I did open the first window on the advent calendar and ate the chocolate, does that almost count as being as festive? ;-)

Ooh, STILL have not seen Avatar. Is good?

If you're asking about the movie Avatar, I'd say "It's not that good - unless you're watching it for the scenery, in which case it's spectacular."

If you're asking about the movie The Last Airbender, I'd say "It is horrifying excrement of badness. RUN. RUN FOR YOUR LIFE AND DON'T LOOK BACK."

If, on the other hand, you're asking about the tv series Avatar: the Last Airbender (which is what I was actually watching), I'd say "Very good. And you should watch it immediately."

Yes, I was meaning the movie with the blue people. :-p

I have heard bad bad reviews of the Avatar-cartoon-made-into-movie, from fans of the series...

and I've seen snippets of the cartoon....maybe one day I'll find it all and watch it. Maybe.

If it's any consolation, we practically have summer over here too. On Sunday, when everyone was putting up their lights and stars and whatnot, it was plus twelve degrees. WTF? We're supposed to have snow by now.

Weird. It sounds like our temperatures are averaging out... (Yesterday it was a top of eighteen degrees, which is definitely not summer.)

It's definitely summer. On Wednesday I went to eat lunch in the sun - a half hour break - and on Wednesday evening I realised I had a decent sunburn on the back of my neck.
