nothing but photos...

(Yes, folks, I'm still alive.)
Day 225:

This is my really cool thermometer. It was a 21st birthday present, and has lived in my bedroom ever since.
Extremely useful - especially since it's so big and colour-coded. I can look blearily across the room, and find out the temperature when I'm still in my nice warm bed...
Day 226:

Here is a photo of photos.
This is a wall at my parents' house, filled with family photos (spanning several decades). My nephews love it - they find it so fascinating looking at all of us when we were younger.
Day 227:

This is a church near my work. I thought it was pretty.
Day 228:

Car seats!
When you go into a baby shop, and ask about car seats, the shop assistants immediately ask how old your child is - and then look at you really weirdly when you start explaining that you don't have any kids...
I've had one of these for a while, but only bought the second on the weekend (because Caleb no longer fits into the first). Very useful transportation for nephews.
Day 229:

This... is a cow seat.
The waiting room at my massage place is decorated with cow patterns - most of which just look kinda cute. But these square boxes really freak me out, because they're actual cow fur. (Fur? Do cows have fur?)
Day 230:

Spring is here! Very early!
This tree is across the street from my house, and I get to see it gradually flowering more and more every morning...
Day 231:

A weird wall in a St Kilda restaurant.
(Given that this is St Kilda, I should probably just be grateful that it wasn't a psychedelic forcefield made out of jelly squares.)

Date: 2011-08-21 12:10 am (UTC)Alternatively, I dare you to write a one-shot where someone is making one.
(Also, the one photo I have ever taken purely for artistic reasons was a photo of photos, specifically some of those ones, except when they were on Mum and Dad's lamp table, and they were blurred but you could tell there were definitely a black-and-white one and a colourful family one and a wedding one and a baby one, and there was also a melted candle, and a rose in a vase, and another flower with, like, blossomy petals that kept wafting down over the photos, CAN-WE-SEE-ALL-THE-NICE-SYMBOLISM-OF-PASSING-TIME-HERE.
Except that I SUCK AT TAKING PHOTOS, so what was actually in focus was the freaking LAMPSHADE, which should have been the background object, so it spoiled the whole thing and I have never taken another arty photo again, THE END.)
(You can't half tell I've just been reading lissie's lj...)
