Day 197:
What do you do when you don't have a pizza cutter? Use scissors!
I thought it was rather hilarious, and took many pictures.
Day 198:
These flowers took 5 days to open - but when they did, they were all gorgeous and yellow.
(My boyfriend is lovely and brings me flowers. Yay.)
Day 199:
The window next to my desk is occasionally used by pigeons. These two showed up, and spent nearly half an hour cooing and snuggling into each other.
Day 200:
Elf has never sat on this piano stool before. But apparently my coat is nice to sit on, and makes the stool much more appealing...
Day 201:
Here's my dad's cat, Earl.
He discovered a box, and spent a while using it as a fort. I wanted a photo of him sitting in the box, but didn't get there in time.
Day 202:
Why you should never lend me books if you care about their spines.
I have been putting them down like this for twenty-seven years, so far. Who knows how many poor battered books have been mutilated by my cruelty?
Day 203:
This was at church camp, shortly after arriving.
There were two birds stuck in the room, who couldn't figure out how to get outside again. (Some people tried to help, but they didn't manage it.) This one spent a few hours flying from one side of the room to the other... and I spent several minutes trying to get a photo.
Day 204:
Still at the camp.
This was a lake. It was rather pretty.
Day 205:
I tend to take a lot of games with me on camps. Here's the selection I took last weekend.
(I went away with my family a few weeks ago, and as soon as my sister heard I was coming she asked "Oh, what games are you bringing?" There's no way I can stop bringing them - I have a reputation to keep up.)
Day 206:
Here is Elf, having breakfast.
He might look relaxed, but if I got any closer, he would be running for cover. That boy is paranoid when he's eating.
Day 207:
This is the basketball team I'll be pretending to play with.
Day 208:
This is hard to describe...
We went to Fitzroy on Wednesday night, to see the light show along Gertrude St. They had lots of programmed light displays - in shop windows, and also projecting across the street onto buildings.
It was quite well thought-out. They'd clearly figured out some of the best ways to combine the lights with the existing buildings. Like this one: the top corner of this building was turned into a carousel, with horses (made out of light) riding around in circles.
Day 209:
I don't get the chance to use this mug very often.
It goes with the little tray, so that you can have a cup of tea and a biscuit together. Usually I'm just having tea, so it would feel a bit silly using the mug with the tray... On this afternoon, though, I had leftover lemon slice.
Day 210:
For the last six months, my bush-themed cross-stitch has been sitting there watching me procrastinate - but it was all brown and yellow, and boring, and I was totally sick of it...
I have, therefore, made an executive decision: the bush theme is being put away to be completed at another time, and I am starting on something pretty and colourful. Here are all the threads!
