I think you could get away with saying it was deliberate (whether you get the chance to say so, is the issue); that's some extreme suffix-swapping. It might put some people off for making you look like a joker, but there's got to be at least a couple of people who read it and smile. Whatever you do, don't tell them you didn't spot the mistake!
