Interestingly, there are movies I like more that I don't care so much about my kids seeing. But these ones they have to see (and enjoy, dammit!).

Out of these I actually know only two, but I like them a lot and I've rewatched both in the last couple of years. Does this mean, I should like the others, too?

There's some very different genres in there!

Clue is a farcical murder mystery, heavy on the hijinks.
Sneakers is a movie about hackers and con-men (also quite funny).
Arsenic and Old Lace is a classic black comedy about little old ladies who are quite, quite crazy.
Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are my very favourite superhero movies. They are excellent.
The Pink Panther is a very silly heist movie.
A Few Good Men is written by the West Wing guy - so it's heavy on the banter and inspirational stuff. It also has Tom Cruise and Jack Nicholson yelling "YOU CAN'T HANDLE THE TRUTH!!!" at each other, which you've almost certainly seen quoted several times.
Jurassic Park really is exactly what it appears: a movie in which dinosaurs crash around and try to eat people. But I utterly love it.
What's Up Doc is a screwball comedy with lots of mistaken identities and people getting bags mixed up so everyone has the wrong things.


Mostly, they're rather absurd, tend to be about crime, and I think they're very funny.
