If anyone would like to buy a cat with a sweet, gentle disposition, who purrs placidly, never makes demands, and absolutely does not wake you up with incessant wailing at 2am, pleading, demanding, and howling at the top of his lungs until he's woken you up from what was a restful sleep... then honesty compels me to admit that this is not my cat.

But please, feel free to believe that he is, and take him away.

My cats lie on top of me all night. Just me, not my husband. I blame them for my back problems because of this. Also because they are cats, so they do not care.

I wonder if you locked your cat in a separate room, with a comfy cat bed and whatever else he needs, at exactly the same time every night, if he'd settle down at night. In my experience, cats react very well to set schedules like that.

That's what I'd like to do, but currently the laundry is taken up by Cat the Second. And Elf can break out of every other room in the house...


Cats are lovely. But irritating. :)
