aftermath of 45

This morning, my radio's news report said "US President…" and I felt myself tense up. And then they continued "…Joe Biden…" at which point I remembered that this was 2021 and relaxed again.

A weird sensation.

Relatable!

For me, it's waking up in the morning and opening my news apps with that particular kind of "What has he done today?" kind of dread. I mean, not that the news now is much better--it's just as full of terrible things--but I don't have to wake up every morning wondering if democracy is definitively over in my country.
