one month old
The kidlet is one month old today!
While he is showing hints of personality, mostly it’s still pretty obscure, expressed only in blinking, crying, and occasional wriggling. So this post will be mostly about the photos.
And, first off, have a picture of me, and my glorious nine-months-pregnant tummy:
Don’t I look ginormous?
The kidlet has very few photos where his eyes are open and he’s not crying. You’re about to see just about all of them. This does not mean, however, that he’s grumpy. It just means that, when he’s happy and awake, I’m usually not in a position to take photos of him, because he’s nuzzling into my chest.
He nuzzles superbly.
At any rate, here he is cuddling his toy sheep:

Relaxing in his pram:
He is settling into life quite happily. So far, his social circle consists of Mummy, Daddy, Nan (now departed for Australia), Grandma (also gone back to Australia), and a whole lot of disembodied voices on Skype. Hopefully the voices become familiar enough that he doesn’t freak out when they become embodied voices in March.

He's already letting glimmers of character show... and it's a rather adorable character. *grins*

He doesn't really look much like Winston Churchill or Queen Victoria, but I think he's more of a Churchill.

They possibly won't thank me for saying so, but under 'bored', he looks very much like his dad.

Gorgeous boy. Keep enjoying the teeny-weeny floppy sleepy stage while it lasts. Though the smiling-at-parents is coming up, and that's even more special in its own way. :)
