an update

So, what's been going on in the life of Mez?

To summarise:
- I have come down with a massive case of stress, brought on by work.
- I've been diagnosed with anxiety and depression, from this.
- I'm spending two weeks away from work, while HR frantically runs around trying to find me a new job. (Still no idea whether they'll be able to, or whether I'll be left jobless.)
- I'm also on anti-anxiety meds, and going to a psychologist.

...hence, I haven't really been posting much. (Or doing much of anything.)

On the bright side, two weeks off means two weeks of seeing my nephews much more often than normal. Also, I'm getting paid to edit report cards for a school, which is very fun and exciting.

I've been there too; I'm just about coming out of the other end of it after some years.

It is NOT your fault. It WILL end.

Yes. Doesn't life suck sometimes?

You think you're doing fine, coping away in your own little way, and then something makes you realise that you're not coping at all, more like on the ragged edge of collapse. At which point things *will* start to get better, because you've stopped inadvertently destroying yourself. But it may take a while before it *feels* better. As your flist is testifying, too many lovely people go through this, too often. But we're still here, clinging on.

I'm glad you're getting help. It's important. *hugs*

Sending lots of good wishes and I am glad you are looking for some time with your young nephews and away from work stress.

Awww, hugs! I hope things get better for you with work - and that the two weeks off is restful and helps you recharge.
