more photos
(Belated photos are belated.)
Day 169:

We went to a wedding at St Jude's - which is an old church in the city that still looks old (stained glass windows, and so forth), but also has been redecorated in funky colours.
This wall didn't look quite so green when I was there...
Day 170:

Duck in cherry sauce.
It's actually pretty difficult to carve a duck. I was expecting the meat to be in all the usual places you'd find it on a chicken, but it's not - so you sort of have to poke around randomly until you find surprise bits of duck meat, hidden from view.
Day 171:

I have no idea why we're so famous, but for some reason people in my office keep being interviewed by film crews.
Very odd.
Day 172:

This is the chocolate stash that lives on my desk.
It's usually filled up entirely by different kinds of M&M, but recently I bought some Jaffas (the round red ones) and Maltesers (already eaten by the time I took the photo) to give me some variety.
Day 173:

Welcome to STRIKE, who managed to make bowling cool. This is not your mother's bowling alley.
There are funky lights, music videos playing on the walls, fashionable bowling shoes, alcohol, pool tables... It's all set up like a nightclub - but with bowling.
Day 174:

I managed to take this photo by attaching my camera to the mini stand that looks a bit like a spider, and then hooking the spider legs over the top of my bedroom door.
Not being able to see what I was doing - and having to take the camera down between each shot - meant that I got some pretty strange photos. There's me looking startled, me looking like an alien, and several photos of just my feet...
Day 175:

This is a fountain in the city, near the Arts Centre. (
dr_carrot took me to the ballet for a birthday present, which was fun.)
The fountains were turned off for ages, due to drought. It's rather nice having them back again.
