yummy duck

Recipe #24 is roast duck, with cherry sauce.


The recipe wanted duck marylands, but I couldn't buy them - just a whole frozen duck, ready to roast. I decided that the important part of the thing was the cherry sauce, and I could change to a whole duck if I wanted to...

Surprisingly, cherry goes with duck really well. It's LOVELY.

Both Thomas Dux and Leos sell Marylands and breasts in their fresh sections. They also have various free range and similar alternatives that are far better than "Luv-a-Duck". At Safeways there is Pepes free-range in the freezer section. Also good, and cheaper than LaD.
