Back on schedule!

Day 106:

This was the Saturday wedding, in which I played piano.

It was held in my church - which is, I think, one of the prettier churches to get married in.

Day 107:

Despite taking over 60 photos of my housemate's wedding day, I decided to post one which has absolutely nothing to do with her wedding...

These bikes are all over the city, for hire by people who know how to unlock them. This particular group of bikes were stuck in their racks, but apparently the wheels were still spinning - so a bunch of kids decided to try riding them right there. (I looked out the window of the pre-wedding bridesmaids' area, and saw them.)

Day 108:

It looks like this sign gets posted at the train station every morning.

It has, among other things, weather forecasts and a daily quote.

Day 109:

These two little girls were walking ahead of me all the way home. I think they were sisters.

Day 110:

Smudge, being indecisive.

He sat in my bedroom doorway for nearly ten minutes, trying to figure out if he wanted to be on my bed with Elf, or out exploring the rest of the house.

Day 111:

My new nephew Michael.

I took some photos of him earlier than this, but at the time he was in a humidicrib and not nearly as cute. It's funny how much nicer babies look when you put the teeny hats on their heads...

Day 112:

This is a piece of nature strip I walked past yesterday.

Most nature strips in my suburb are just short grass. (Or overgrown grass.) This one is a bit more creative.

I love that sign - but 23 degrees? Oof! I hope we don't hit temperatures like that for another three or four months.

Cute set of pictures. Congratulations on the new nephew!

Nature strip? Aussie for '(grass) verge', I'm assuming. It's an interesting difference which suggests your greenery is more deliberately eco-friendly while ours is just edge-of-road leftover space. I wonder if there's any truth in that.

Yep, that sounds about right. Verges tend to be in green suburbs, not so much in the city centres where the pavement (sic) extends to the roadside. I wouldn't say that verges are everywhere, but they certainly aren't uncommon.

Breaking down language barriers since 2009.

Pretty wedding. I love the sign too - we are feeling pleasantly able to go out in our short sleeves this week in temperatures of 19-20C - so our spring is not unlike your autumn just for these few days!

You are so right about babies and hats, too.

It's hot for early spring, which is what we're in right now - in general, I prefer temperatures in the low teens. But I'm odd that way.

Could be America or Canada or just me, but I've never had a term for that. It's just "that grassy bit between the sidewalk and the road". (Although I notice that you've used words for "sidewalk" different from both each other and me. The wonders of regional variation...)

15 and very windy right now. I look forward to 23. I would look forward to 33, but I might not get any 33 days.
