...a word nerd

I'm very into language and its nuances. This is why I taught myself Latin for fun, and am now attempting (very slowly) to teach myself Spanish.

It's also why I work as an editor and technical writer.


...a tabletop gamer

I love roleplaying games, board games, and card games. Not so good at computer games - although I am far too obsessed with Stardew Valley.


...a mum

I have two kids. Kidlet Primus is about to start his second year of primary school; Kidlet Secunda is in her final year of kindergarten (pre-school, for you foreigners).


...an Aussie

I live in the upside-down future world. We have jetpacks, and a refreshing shortage of lockdown (at the moment).


...a sci-fi geek

My forever shows are Buffy and Farscape. The other shows I'm always rewatching are West Wing, Stargate, Frasier, Elementary, and Leverage. I have far too much to say about every single one of them.


...a Christian

Of the progressive variety. I am pro-gay marriage, pro-asylum seeker, and really very angry at a lot of what the modern church gets up to. I also debate theology, for fun, online - because I am a crazy person.

What a great, clear intro! Another language nerd here, and I often wish I'd ended up working as an editor or something like that - instead of being first a lawyer and now a pre-school teacher.
