I wrote what was quite possibly the first Janeway/Seven slashfic, based entirely on what I was reading about the episodes on Usenet at the time. When the episodes finally reached New Zealand many months later, I realised just how much Usenet had failed to tell me about them: most obviously, once Seven joined the crew she no longer had "That Laser Eye" of my title....
