Ouch. Get well soon. (Was it one of those stomach bugs that everyone else shrugs off in a couple days but lays you out for weeks? If so, judging from my own experience I recommend Sherlock fanfiction. It won't make you physically any better, but it's very helpful for distracting you from how much pain you're in. (Watching and/or liking BBC Sherlock is not a prerequisite for this strategy. It doesn't really matter much whether an adaptation is one level removed from the source or two. Fanfiction's just easier to come by.))
Is it really that hard to understand why someone who (I presume) speaks with an Australian accent might have trouble with German when distracted by illness? Or to understand that she may well feel significantly more ill some minutes than others?
