deird1: Twilight Sparkle's hot air balloon (MLP:FiM hot air balloon)

here I am again

It really is depressing when almost an entire year's worth of entries fit onto the front page of my DW.

I haven't posted much lately, for several reasons:
1) The kidlets leave little time for posting things.
2) The kidlets leave little time for tv watching, which used to be the main thing I posted about.
3) DW has been relatively quiet, which was depressing.
4) I've been camping out over at Reddit.
5) My fanfic brain has been eaten up by playing RPGs. I can't usually be creative in two directions at once.

I will hereby resolve to post more, and never again to end up with less than 20 entries in a single year (for crying out loud, what was I doing?).

In lieu of new content, I am at least reposting very old meta over at [community profile] buffyversemeta.

Meanwhile, for those of you who are interested, here's a random life update:
- two kids, now 2 years old and 5 months old
- much crochet
- back in Australia, doing the stay-at-home-mum thing
- roleplaying with friends (who also have kids... tricky to organise...)
- watching Elementary, Castle, and Murdoch Mysteries, rewatching Buffy, Farscape, and Avatar, and desperately waiting for The Expanse and The Crown to come out on dvd
- hoping to find time to learn how to sew
- still studying Latin

Hey, being a full-time mum of a toddler and a baby can be very involving, and take up a lot of brainspace that might otherwise be producing fanfic. It's the way things go.

I would say learning how to sew is easy, but...I learned it as a child watching my mother sew. I guess it also depends what you want out of sewing: making clothes, making textile works? Mending? Embroidery? refitting?

I have been catching up with Elementary too. Jsut acquired season 4. It is a good thing to have, I'm finding.

DW has been relatively quiet

I wonder if the fuss over the Great Livejournal Apocalypse will start a DW renaissance.

---

Could you add my DW account to your access list, please? You've got me-with-LJ-OpenID and me-with-Blogspot-OpenID on there, but not Dreamwidth proper.

(This post brought to you by spending forty minutes trying to hunt down an old post of yours I was thinking about, only to realise the account I was logged into wasn't one with friends-lock access, and I almost certainly went right by the post while it was invisible. Possibly multiple times. *headdesk*)

(I originally explained here which post and why, but it occurred to me it might be rude to discuss a locked post in an unlocked comment section.)

Huh. I got the "deird1 has granted you access to their journal" notification, but the post you linked is still giving me "you do not have permission to view this content" errors.
